Do you BOO?
The girls gave me a call from the neighbors the other day stating that we need to BOO someone and needed to make some treats. I have a cold and I do not like to cook when I don't feel good (not that I want to sew either...or clean or anything but read but...) I remembered my mom had told me about these 2 liter soda covers that my sister had given her one year for Christmas, it was a snowman I think. Anyway I thought HEY why not a pumpkin or a ghost so I bought some felt by the yard at JoAnn's $2.99 a yard you only need a 1/2 yard to make 3. I measured the bottle and tried to compute in my non mathmatical head how wide I really needed to make these. This is what I came up with.
Cut out your shape
for the PUMPKIN I did
Height 12 1/2"
Width TOP 7 1/2" Middle 8 1/2" Bottom 7 1/2"
If you have kids who are good with scissors let them cut a 2 pieces for a stem and the face parts (to glue on later) Stitch your stem pieces together and place them at the top of the pumpkin in between the 2 layers pointing down. Sew it together with a really narrow seam flip inside out
for the GHOST I did
Height 14"
Width Top of head 6 1/2" wide part of head 9 1/2" middle 8 1/2" bottom 11"
slip over your 2 liter pop and print the poem I got mine off of www.beenbooed.com

Reall cute, simple idea and that just reminded me that in our neighborhood in Kansas everyone always got booed, now I'm a little bummed we're not there. SO, I'll have to start some boo-ing around here.
